Pit mounted foundations comprise ground level flat solid concrete approach at roadway level. Service access for load cells maintenance and horizontal restraint adjustment is through the center man-hole after cover plate removal.

Pit less weigh bridge is Low Profile Electronic Weighbridge versatile and easy to install. Each weighbridge platform is constructed of mild steel comprising of two main I-Beams and transverse with I-Beams fully welded to form a rigid structure. Mild-steel chequered plates are welded on it to complete the structure.

Surface mounted foundations comprise flat solid raft with concrete approach ramps. Service access for load cells maintenance and horizontal restraint adjustment is through the platform surface and side after cover plate removal.

This type of weighbridge is most suitable where the excavation work for foundation is difficult or construction of pit is expensive. Since the structure is above ground level, vehicles can approach the weighbridge only from two directions where the ramps are provided. It is useful in areas where hazardous gases are present in the atmosphere where, the soil is rocky and in low-lying areas where water logging is a problem.
